Q: What is astigmatism?
A:  A common refractive condition caused by either an irregularity in the curvature of the cornea (corneal astigmatism) or the lens (lenticular astigmatism). Patients with astigmatism generally have difficulty seeing fine detail at all distances. This vision disorder is treated with corrective lenses or refractive surgery.

Q: What is the AcrySof IQ Toric IOL?
A:  The AcrySof Toris IOL lens is a foldable, single-piece lens that an eye surgeon implants during cataract surgery to replace the clouded lens. The unique design of the AcrySof Toric lens provides quality distance vision, independent of eyeglasses and contact lenses. It is made of the same biocompatible lens material already successfully implanted in more than 25 million eyes since 1991.
